ICLEI congratulates Maimunah Sharif as the next Executive Director of UN-Habitat

Maimunah Sharif, Mayor of Penang Island, Malaysia, and an active member of the ICLEI Global Executive Committee, has been appointed as the next Executive Director of UN-Habitat, the United Nations program working towards a better urban future. This is the first time an active ICLEI leader is appointed to such a function.

33 Brazilian cities are joining the broadest global alliance committed to climate leadership

Global 100% Renewable Energy platform 
announces new executive committee

The new Global 100% RE Platform, the first global initiative advocating 100 percent renewable energy, has elected a new executive committee representing members from Climate Action Network International, ICLEI, the Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies, the International Solar Energy Society and the World Wind Energy Association.
