The United Nations Climate Change Conference in Poznan, Poland is taking place 1 to 12 December 2008. At COP14 leaders in local government from all corners of the globe will gather to offer a partnership to national governments and the international community to reduce GHG emissions.
ICLEI has a major role in convening the Local Government Climate Sessions from 9 to 11 December 2008 in cooperation with global partners of the Local Government Climate Roadmap which include UCLG, C40, WMCCC, and Metropolis with others.

In December 2007, ICLEI Oceania supported council representatives who attended the UN conference in Bali. Again, we would extend support to any participant from New Zealand local government attending Poznan.
