Climate Champions Hakima El Haite and Laurence Tubiana launched the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action to catalyze action among nations and climate stakeholders between 2017 and 2020.
The Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action was launched at the High Level event of the Global Climate Action Agenda by High Level Climate Champions Minister Hakima El Haite and Ambassador Laurence Tubiana. The Marrakech Partnership is an initiative to to catalyze action among nations and climate stakeholders between 2017 and 2020. As part of COP22 Decisions for the implementation of the Paris Agreement, Parties to the UNFCCC welcome the Marrakech Partnership.
On November 10th, Global Climate Action focused on the Cities and Human Settlements Theme.
Throughout the day, Buildings Workstream was facilitated by UNEP on behalf of the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction and Resilience Workstream was facilitated by ICLEI in collaboration with the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior and the Fonds Mondial pour le Développement des Villes (FMDV).
